Cat Attempts To Light Self On Fire

Yes, that's Misha's tail on the stove. Lucky for him it wasn't on. I just wish I could have gotten a picture of him when he was in the microwave....

  • I am fascinated that a cat is allowed on a kitchen counter.

I forgot about electric ranges. I have fond memories of those things...

  • He looks at home, the fact that his tail may combust is a secondary concern...

I've had a cat with a 1-inch long tail get it caught in the fridge door. The same cat got his paw stuck in the bathroom sink drain. Now that he's blind, he just gets lost and freaked out... but at least he isn't in danger.

  • I see you are all still continuing the party even tho Hussy is back!

    Misha is adorable!

  • "Allowed" on the kitchen counter doesn't really describe the situation... you have no idea how many times a day I remove cats from the counter. It is a losing battle.

  • And I really hate the electric stove. Oh well.

  • My cats love lying on the stove when the oven is on. Somehow knowing that the toasty warmth might soon turn into singed whiskers is no deterrent...

  • When putting a cat in the microwave, do you have to poke holes in the cat to let the steam out?

  • Sheepish, you are a card. A real card.

  • Hee hee hee! My cat isn't "allowed" on the counter, either, but, you know, she's a cat. Which means "not allowed" isn't really in her vocabulary...
