Woe To Me

Wednesday, September 06, 2006
So Brazen Hussy is on her way to Cambodia. I won't see her for a week, and it is doubtful that's we'll be able to communicate at all. So I'm settling down into a good old-fashioned sulk.

  • Poor guy! Don't worry, it will be over before you know it.

  • Awww, you poor thing. Really, though, the time will pass by faster if you keep busy. Look for distractions, the more the better. Just don't get into trouble, or she'll kill you when she gets back.:)

  • Awww.... shall we harrass the hell out of you in the mean time?

  • Pet the dog, then the cat, then the other cat, then the dog, unless you have a third cat, if so pet that cat before petting the dog again, continue this cycle for a week. Make sure to keep hydrated and sleep when tired and you will be fine.

    Pizza helps too.

  • If you think I sound badly off, you should see the animals!

  • I'm also married to a globe-trotting scientist, so here's some advice to deal with the solitude.

    1. Catch up on old movies/television shows
    2. Immerse yourself in your dissertation
    3. (Most important) stay as busy as possible

    Hope that helps.

  • Since you seem to have some extra time on your hands, why don't you take a look at a recent post by Kung Fu Monkey? It's about debating with close minded people. The post references links to material written by a former fundamentalist Christian - a former insider, so to speak.

I've had a long day and my brain is fried, so I haven't been able to concentrate on any of the material. But I love Kung Fu Monkey, in general, and I figured you could use some busy work.

  • Perhaps counting the days until she returns or thinking of how you will welcome her home....

    We love you, Publius.
