  • Hello, lurker here. (It seems odd to be a lurker when you know a blogger in real life, but since I almost never comment, I fit the description.)

  • Sorta lurker/occasional commenter - you're how I follow US politics (and you make it so much more understandable and interesting so . . . thanks!)

By Blogger Mad Hatter, at 11:04 PM
  • Thanks everybody! I thought nobody was still reading there for a minute!

Weezy: Are heard Schlessinger had some memoirs, which was interesting in an of itself, but is there something in them that's particularly sexy?

By Blogger Arbitrista, at 5:18 AM
  • I'm still here! :)

  • just very chatty and off the cuff. I had a chance to meet him and chat with him once, and it was quite cool. I don't have the book yet, but from what i've seen and heard, it is sort of a great back stairways book of someone that had great access. I don't think any major bombshells.

  • You got to talk to him? I am SO jealous!

By Blogger Arbitrista, at 12:22 PM
  • yup-- and have his autobiography personally signed :) I did a crazy ass work for nothing internship a few years ago and it was so awesome-- met him and had ambassador vanden Heuvel call my freaking house to talk to me for about a half hour so about my project. I almost passed out, because I wasn't expecting the call....

  • Thanks for the link!

Oh, and I know what it's like to have famous people call you without warning. When I was in NY I had mayoral candidates calling me out of the blue to solicit my support. It was wild.

  • Hey! :)
