• For the same reason people with PhDs don't know how to use apostrophes? :P (touché, I know). Maybe they're just German and they have different comma standards??? :)

• Sigh. The comma issue is annoying, but the misuse of apostrophes is my biggest issue. One of my colleagues (has a PhD in Political Science) is one of those people who makes almost every plural a possessive... um, really? Did we not attend 3rd grade English?!?
