RIP Christopher Hitchens

Jill at Feministe pretty much sums up how I feel about the death of Christopher Hitchens. One of the most brilliant polemicists of the era, I loved reading his words even when I hated the ideas they expressed. His role in public debate reminds me very much of the epitaph of the ancient Roman Lucius Cornelius Sulla: No Better Friend, No Worse Enemy.
